How to Show Love on Earth Day
This Earth Day, get together with the ones closest to you and show love for our precious Earth and for each other. There are plenty of ways to celebrate Earth Day, and here are a few of our favorite ways to show you care.
Go on a hike with your honey
Get out on the trails and show love to the nature you are trying to protect. Take along a bird-watching book and make it a nature walk. See how many love birds you can spot – other than yourselves!
Clean up a park with your kids
Check out your kids’ favorite outdoor play area and teach them an important lesson about the environment. Take a bag and some gloves out and clean up trash in the area. Bring extra gear and encourage other families to join in.
Donate with your best buddies
Spring is a great time to clean out closets and get rid of the unused stuff that has been piling up in the garage. Plan a group yard sale with your buddies and fulfill the “reuse” part of “Reduce, reuse, recycle.” As an added bonus, donate the proceeds of your sale to your favorite environmental charity.
Plant a tree with your parents
Earth Day is a great reason to show love to the people who raised you. Get together and plant a tree in the front yard. Your folks will be happy to see you, and thrilled that they raised such an Earth conscious kid.
Volunteer with your neighbors
Get together with the families on your block and volunteer together. Volunteering for a local environmental charity is a great way to get to get to know the people who live around you and show your love for the planet.
